SleepWave ("the App", "we", "us") is a sleep assistant app that plays sleep sounds, analyzes your sleep using on-device signals, and shows morning reports. This Privacy Policy explains what information is involved when you use the App.
We do not operate our own servers and the App does not require an account or login. Your sleep records and settings are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to us.
We (the developer) do not collect or receive any personal information from you. The App has no backend and no sign-in, and does not transmit your sleep records, audio, health data, or settings to us or to any third party (except the ad data described in Section 5, which is processed by Google).

You can erase all of this at any time by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App.
The microphone is used only while sleep analysis is running, and only if you grant the permission. Audio is analyzed entirely on your device using an on-device machine-learning model (sound event classification).
If you connect a wearable (e.g., Galaxy Watch), the App can read the following data types from Health Connect, only with your explicit permission:
This data is used solely to display your sleep analysis and reports inside the App. It is processed and stored on your device only. We do not upload, sell, share, or use Health Connect data for advertising or any other purpose, and we do not write data back to Health Connect. You can revoke access at any time in Health Connect settings, and you can delete stored records by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.
During sleep analysis the App reads the accelerometer to estimate movement. Raw sensor values are not stored — only derived movement events used for the sleep-stage estimate are kept on the device.
The free version of the App shows ads using Google AdMob. No ads are shown while sleep analysis is running. AdMob is provided by Google and may collect and process information to serve and measure ads, including:

Where required, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for your consent before serving personalized ads, in line with GDPR. You can change or withdraw your choice later from the App's settings ("Ad privacy settings").
Depending on your state, you may have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. Where a consent/opt-out form is presented, your choice is applied to ad personalization.
The App offers optional purchases (SleepWave PRO) processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment details; purchases are handled entirely by Google Play under Google's terms and privacy policy. The App only stores a local flag indicating whether PRO is active.
The App can export your sleep records and settings to a JSON file on your device, only when you request it. The file stays under your control and is not sent anywhere by the App.
Permissions are used only for the features above and are not used to collect personal data.
The App is a tool for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). The "Baby Sleep" mode is a feature operated by parents/caregivers on their own device. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we have no servers, we do not store your data. All app data lives on your device and is removed when you clear the App's data or uninstall it. Information processed by Google for ads and billing is handled under Google's policies.
Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA/CPRA in the US), you may have rights to access, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, and to opt out of personalized ads. Because the developer holds no personal data, such requests primarily concern Google's ad data — see Google's policies above. You may also contact us using the details below.
SleepWave is a wellness tool, not a medical device. Sleep scores, sleep stages, and all analysis results are reference estimates only and must not be used for diagnosis or treatment of any disease or sleep disorder (including sleep apnea). Consult a healthcare professional for medical concerns.
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, within the App or store listing.
